I have tried several kinds of lighting and I think I have found the right thing… I got the Aputure LS120 last week, and it’s awesome. Now the Aputure LS300d is out!! If you’re like me, on constant lookout for optimal lighting, then check this out!
Aputure Light Storm C300D
The C300 is a 5500K 300W LED light with an amazin g ligt output. Its output is comparable to that of a 2000W tungsten lamp (compared to the LS 120d which is about 650w tungsten eq.) , so it really can replace your old HMI lamps. So leave those at home and just bring this. Will start in adaylight version, but I’m it will eventually come in a tungsten version.
The C300d is a game changer. it’s boasting extremely powerful output, an advanced cooling system, portable build, and a TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) rating of over 96.
The Light Storm C300d comes in at 2.1kgs, has the popular Bowens mount, has a control panel separated from the actual lamp, has a 100 m remote control and can be powered from a wall outlet or professional batterymounts: batteries of either the SONY V mount or Anton Bauer mount can be used depending on which model you choose.
Even though you can mount existing Bowens softboxes on it, Aputure has a few accessories itself. I love that I can use the domes for my photography with my Godox AD600 lamps. For a freelancer as me it’s a good save 🙂
The kit version comes with everything you need.
