The 9.Solutions Mini C-Pan arm
is the On-the go version of its big brother C-Pan arm. Weighing only 1,5 Kgs and measuring 400mm when folded, it makes for a perfect camera companion for the lite traveling videographer.
I met Bo Christensen, director of 9.Solutions and designer of the Mini C-Pan arm at IBC 2017 and imediately after purchased the Mini C-Pan Arm, seing that it would fit perfectly into my compact kit.
Even with its compact traveling size, it still makes it possible to make 70cm of straight movements. As its big brother, it is also able to make inward and outward arched/curved shots both horizontal and vertically (for vertical shots, a tiltable tripod and ball head is needed) or in-outs and flyovers.
It has a spirit level for to level out the he Mini C-pan Arm when setting up. It has 3/8″-16 and 1/4”-20 Female tripod mount holes in the bottom plate and 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 for mounting either the camera directly, or as I have done, a ball head on mor positioning the camera.
I really liked the Mini C-pan arm for its size and quick operation. So versatile when you dont want to set up a slider. Also some of the movements the Mini C can do, will be hard to do with a regular slider and some impossible, like the curvature moves…
